A Look Back at the Group Experience Program in 2019

Our revamped Group Experience Program has allowed so many groups and companies to come in and spend a day giving back to pets in our community. We’re so grateful for the organizations that came to tour our facilities and volunteer with various projects we desperately needed help with!

A total of 46 groups, comprised of 599 participants, raised $30,080 towards this program, which directly impacts the animals at the SPCA of Texas. These companies and organizations made a huge impact with their donated time, completing tasks such as: making and distributing pupsicles; filling holes in our horse pastures with dirt; painting fences; making fleece blankets and toys; organizing storage containers; assembling crates for our Animal Cruelty Investigations team; making snuffle mats; building and planting an herb garden; assembling adoption packets; tearing down temporary outdoor kennels and relocating them; moving kennel panels; organizing our storage areas; assembling winter habitats for community cats; and pulling weeds in our horse pastures.
That’s a lot of helping!

We were also thrilled that, through the Group Experience Program, four dogs were sponsored. Three have since been adopted, and Jada, pictured above, is still waiting for her forever home.
