WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

Be part of changing animals’ lives.

Volunteers at the SPCA of Texas give their hearts and time to make every day special for the animals who are waiting for a loving home. We depend on hundreds of volunteers every year to help in our shelters, our clinics and the community.

SPECIAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Special experiences for you, your family or your organization.

FOSTER HEROES

Volunteers in our Foster program provide animals with a comfortable, loving home while they await adoption, recover from medical procedures, grow from an infant to an adoptable age, or live their remaining days knowing love and support.

GROUP EXPERIENCES

Our Group Experience Program is thoughtfully tailored to provide an enriching experience for your group members. You will have the opportunity to give back to the community while learning about the lifesaving work done at SPCA of Texas.

KIDS & FAMILIES

The SPCA of Texas offers age-appropriate volunteer opportunities for youth ages of 10 through 17, and families are welcome to volunteer their time together. We request that volunteers under the age of 15 bring a parent or guardian who is at least 21 years old to all volunteer shifts.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS

This group of emerging young leaders supports our mission through fundraising, volunteer and social opportunities. Enjoy exclusive volunteer opportunities, networking and special events.

COURT-ORDERED SERVICE

Individuals 10+ can fulfill their Court-Appointed Community Service (CCS) hours related to non-violent crimes such as basic traffic tickets and some minor alcohol and drug-related charges. Then we hope you’ll stay as a volunteer!
