Meet Jerry
At just 3 months old, Jerry should be spending his days playing, exploring, and learning that people are his friends. Instead, this sweet little boy is learning how to navigate a world that still feels very scary.
Jerry came to us from a custody case and had very little positive socialization before arriving at the shelter. He’s understandably fearful of new people and unfamiliar situations. When approached, he’ll often retreat to the back of his kennel, tremble, and avoid interaction. While he isn’t ready to take treats from your hand just yet, he’ll cautiously enjoy them once he feels safe and has a little space.
Jerry doesn’t need someone to “fix” him—he just needs someone willing to give him the time, patience, and love he’s never had.
A quiet foster home will give Jerry the chance to build confidence, learn to trust, and discover that people can bring comfort, treats, and love. Every small step forward will be a huge victory for this deserving puppy.
The shelter isn’t where Jerry will truly shine. With a patient foster by his side, he has every opportunity to become the happy, playful companion he’s meant to be.
