Meet JayJay!
At just 3 months old, JayJay is still a baby, but life has already been full of uncertainty.
JayJay came to us from a custody case and had very little positive socialization before arriving at the shelter. The shelter environment is overwhelming for him, and he’s still learning that people can be kind. When approached, he’ll often retreat to the back of his kennel, tremble, and avoid interaction. He’s not quite ready to take treats from a person’s hand, but with a little space and patience, he’ll cautiously gather the treats left for him.
What JayJay needs most is a foster who understands that trust takes time.
A calm, quiet home will give him the opportunity to build confidence at his own pace. Every gentle interaction, every tossed treat, and every patient moment will help him realize that he’s finally safe. With love and consistency, this shy little boy has the potential to grow into a happy, confident companion.
JayJay deserves the chance to experience what every puppy should—a home where he can feel secure, loved, and free to be himself.
If you have the time, patience, and heart to help JayJay, please email foster@spca.org. Your kindness could make all the difference in his journey.
