Handsome Jack entered the SPCA of Texas in January 2022. Since then, our behavior team has helped Jack learn how to trust humans and he’s really come a long way! Jack is still working on this so he’s pretty shy and fearful. We’re hoping a loving foster home will help him open up and feel comfortable. This sweet guy has stage 3 heartworms and will be getting his final 2 injections in late September. Following those injections, he will need to be on restricted exercise (couch patrol) for 30-45 days. We would love for him to recover in a foster home on a soft dog bed rather than in the shelter environment.
Able to help? Email foster@spca.org. He is estimated to be 5.5yrs old and weighs approximately 93lbs. We can coordinate a meet and greet with any resident dogs and children in your home to help with introductions.
