This week we want to give you a closer look at Captain America, courtesy of our friends at ReadingGlasses.com! Clearly, this long-term resident hasn’t found their forever home yet because the right person just hasn’t laid eyes on them yet!
Keep reading for more details about this mischievous pup!
This bouncy, 3-and-a-half-year-old Chihuahua mix always greets his human friends with a big smile and a wagging tail. Originally rescued from a cruelty case back in 2018, Captain America has been in and out of the shelter trying to land in the right home.
He is playful and goofy, with a personality that is surprisingly big for his 24 lbs. Captain America is looking for a home where he can be spoiled and loved. He can be a bit of a diva, and doesn’t like sharing his stuff with other animals or kids, and he is especially protective of his soft blankies and stuffed animal collection. He’ll need a home where he can be your only baby, so all the attention and devotion is directed at him and him alone.
Captain America is a little suspicious of strangers at first, but once he realizes you are there to love him and give him cookies and neck scratches, he’ll jump right into your lap asking for pets.
Captain America is one of the more unique and fun dogs that we’ve had the pleasure of knowing at the SPCA of Texas, and we know his perfect adopter is out there somewhere.
Captain America is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations. To make an appointment to meet Captain America, and to see all of our adoptable pets, please visit spca.org/adopt.
