This awesome team cares for hundreds of animals on any given day and keeps a careful eye on any observable changes that may give an insight into their health. They assist our veterinarians during surgeries, give them their medicine, administer vaccines, draw blood, take x-rays, and on and on and on! No two days are the same in the life of a vet tech; the nature of the job is that they face a new challenge every day. That’s what makes our vet techs so special – here at the SPCA of Texas, our veterinary team encounters a wide variety of medical problems that need to be treated.
If you’re interested in becoming a vet tech, stay tuned! As a part of National Vet Tech Appreciation Week, we are going to be showcasing the position and some incredible stories from around the shelter.
