Each week, we’ll bring you an adoptable pet that has been with us for quite some time. This week, we want you to meet Gretel!
Gretel came to us back in July of 2019 after our animal cruelty investigations team found her abandoned at a property in Hunt County. Despite her past, Gretel is a total love bug. She is thoroughly convinced that she is a lap dog, despite her 65-lbs-give-or-take self! She loves to snuggle and rub her face on you, just like a cat!
She knows “Leave It,” “Speak,” and “Sit,” and is also house trained!
Gretel is such a sweet big girl and would love a relaxed, quite home where she can be the queen of her castle. She’d love to meet the whole family, so email foster@spca.org if you want to set up a meet and greet!
Gretel would do best in a home with kids 12 & up, would love a fenced-in backyard and needs to be the only dog – trust us, she’s enough dog for one household!
Gretel is eligible for a trial adoption! That means she can go home with you for a few weeks to test whether she and your family are a match made in heaven. Email foster@spca.org if you’d like to take her for a test drive.
All the doggone news? Cute cat pictures? Ways you can get involved? You bet.
Share your email with us and we’ll fetch the latest for you.
