Maureen Short has more than 25 years of experience in financial leadership roles at public companies. Most recently, she was the Chief Financial Officer of Upbound Group, formerly Rent-A-Center, where she oversaw the Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, Treasury, Internal Audit, Procurement, and Risk Management functions. As CFO, Maureen led the organization through a successful turnaround of the business, a digital transformation, strategic acquisitions, and capital allocation decisions. Earlier in her career, Maureen held Strategic Planning and Accounting positions at Blockbuster and Sprint.

Maureen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas and an MBA from the University of Florida. She is also Directorship Certified with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).

Maureen actively volunteers in the community with her two children through the National Charity League and Young Men’s Service League and they enjoy spending time with their dog Charlie.
