Maura Davies has been part of the SPCA of Texas Team Purple since 2001, working to share the organization’s mission, vision, and values with the North Texas community. As part of the Marketing & Communications team, she manages a talented group responsible for the SPCA of Texas’ website, social media channels, branding, design, digital content, public relations, and Customer Care Center. Whether through marketing campaigns or spreading the word about adoptable pets, the Marketing & Communications team’s work supports the SPCA of Texas’ goal to prevent and prosecute animal cruelty, care for rescued animals, help animals find loving homes, and keep pets with their families.

Before joining the SPCA of Texas, Maura worked as a non-fiction book editor. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in English from Southern Methodist University. She lives in Dallas with her family, including their SPCA of Texas alumni—Opal the cat and Grace the dog.
