Justin Banta

Vice President, Development

Justin Banta, VP of Development, joined the SPCA of Texas in April 2024 to advance the love for and protection of all animals in our community and across Texas.

Justin leads the development team, building the SPCA of Texas’ visibility, impact, and financial resources.  He has over 15 years of experience in leading and growing development programs in Dallas, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia. Most recently, Justin led the development team for the Callier Center for Communication Disorders at the University of Texas at Dallas, completing their $15M Callier Family Care Campaign.

Justin earned his B.S. Cum Laude from Baylor University and M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary. He serves on the board of the Human Rights Initiative of Texas where he has led as board President, chair of the development committee, and chair of the executive director search committee.

Justin lives in Plano with his wife, two kids, and their dog Bunny (adopted from the SPCA of Texas, of course). When he can carve out a little bit of downtime Justin enjoys reading and cycling.
