Judith Dumont

Vice President, People + Culture

Judith Dumont, Vice President of Organizational Development for the SPCA of Texas joined the organization in October 2021. Overseeing the human resources function of our collective team, Judith uses strategic thinking to guide and direct the people, policies, and procedures of our organization to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and high levels of employee and volunteer engagement. Investing in the positive culture of the SPCA of Texas directly impacts the quality of care we provide for our animals, and bringing our mission of providing every animal exceptional care and a loving home to life is Judith’s key focus.

Prior to her work with the SPCA of Texas, Judith has been a thought leader who has worked on the front lines of social service for non-profit and higher education platforms that generate access and equity for at-risk populations, including Planned Parenthood, Dallas College, Tarrant County College, and Youth First Texas. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Master’s in Counseling from the University of North Texas. She also has completed Leadership Garland, is a Microsoft Innovative Educator, and holds her SHRM-CP from the Society of Human Resource Management. Her core skills include strategic planning, collaborative partnerships, learning and development, and performance management. She resides in east Dallas with her family, which includes her bearded dragon, Spike Leah, whose favorite meal is arugula and watermelon salad with a side of fresh crickets, and Tux, a very bouncy Lab mix (adopted from the SPCA of Texas!).
