We’re excited to welcome youth volunteers and their families! Here’s a quick guide to opportunities by age group:

• Ages 10–11: With a parent or guardian by their side, younger volunteers help with important daily tasks like laundry, cleaning, greeting guests, and supporting events. They also get to spend time with our cats and small mammals after training.
• Ages 12–14: These volunteers work alongside a parent or guardian and, after completing animal handling training, can help care for cats, dogs, and small mammals. Tasks may include walking dogs, socializing cats, feeding, grooming, and cleaning.
• Ages 15–17: Older youth can volunteer independently (with parent consent) and interact directly with cats, dogs, and small mammals.

• If your child is between 10 and 14 years old, please submit an application for yourself and add an application for each child in that age group within your application process.
• Youth ages 15 to 17 can submit their own application here.
