DALLAS – The SPCA of Texas is delighted to present the 34th annual Home for the Holidays events at NorthPark Center (8687 N. Central Expressway, 75225). Bark + Build showcases unique, state-of-the-art dog homes and cat condos, designed and created through our partnership with the American Institute of Architects Dallas (AIA) and TEXO, The Construction Association. The Adoption Pavilion features adoptable pets of all ages and festive holiday merchandise for pets and people.
“We are honored and excited to bring a time-honored event, Home for the Holidays, back to NorthPark Center for the 34th year in a row,” said SPCA of Texas President & CEO Chris Luna. “The public loves this holiday program as much as we do, and it gives the SPCA of Texas a unique opportunity to partner with three very special organizations—NorthPark Center, the American Institute of Architects Dallas, and TEXO, The Construction Association.
“Bark + Build is a fun and challenging way to involve creative designers and builders in raising funds for our organization, and the Adoption Pavilion is one of our most successful adoption events,” Luna added. “I can’t wait for the public to see, vote and bid on the incredible dog houses and cat condos we are featuring this year and for families to meet the beautiful pets—cats and dogs—who will be waiting for them this holiday season.”
Home for the Holidays events are open to the public from Noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, at NorthPark Center on the first floor between Macy’s and Dillard’s.
2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Bark + Build, which pairs generous members of AIA Dallas and TEXO, The Construction Association to design and build innovative dog houses and cat condos for the design competition and auction portion of Home for the Holidays. Twenty-two (22) Bark + Build structures are on display at NorthPark Center from Thursday, November 21st through Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024.
The houses/condos will be voted on by a renowned panel of judges to receive awards and are being auctioned to raise funds to support the SPCA of Texas. Members of the public are encouraged to bid on the structures, which begins Thursday, November 21st at: spca.org/bid.
Home for the Holidays also features adoptable pets at our Adoption Pavilion, Friday, Nov. 29 – Monday, Dec. 23, 2024. Dogs and cats of all ages and breeds will be available for the public to meet and adopt into their loving families.
