DALLAS– April showers are supposed to bring May flowers, but not this one! The SPCA of Texas April Baby Shower for Puppies & Kittens will bring lots of goodies and necessities for the continued influx of kittens and puppies this spring.
Join us Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m. (come & go) at the SPCA of Texas Dallas Animal Care Center (2400 Lone Star Dr, 75212) to celebrate the little ones and donate much needed supplies. Refreshments will be served and there will be fun and games for all!
“Spring has brought a flood of newborns to our shelter, and we’re in urgent need of help,” SPCA of Texas Lifesaving Initiatives Manager Terri Hooks, CHES said. “Your donations to our Baby Shower will help save the lives of these little ones, from the tiniest bottle-fed babies to those ready for solid foods.”
Items needed to help our youngsters thrive include wet kitten food, KMR (kitten milk replacer), training pads, Esiblac (puppy milk replacer), baby bottles with nipples and heating pads.
You can bring donations to the Shower or visit our Amazon wish list to donate here: spca.org/babywishlist. Or do both!
The Baby Shower is a great opportunity to learn more about fostering a puppy or kitten, too.
“There’s a stage and age to suit every foster,” Hooks smiled. “Join us in nurturing these precious lives through their journey, and together we can provide the care and love needed to ensure every little one thrives.
“Our newborn fosters are silent heroes of compassion,” Hooks added. “They offer nurturing hearts and a loving home to those that need it the very most. Their selfless acts embody the essence of kindness and remind us of the boundless capacity for care within humanity.”
Puppies and kittens, if available, will join the Shower fun for cuddles and hugs!
