Have you taken your cat to the vet this year? If not, now is the perfect time to make an appointment. In the state of Texas, all dogs and cats are required get a rabies vaccination every year. To stay in compliance, give your veterinarian or one of our wellness clinics a call to set up your visit.
We also strongly encourage pet owners to make sure their cats get the FVRCP vaccine every year. This core vaccine will protect them from feline viral rhinotracheitis, calcivirus and panleukopenia. All three of those diseases are highly contagious and are difficult to recover from, especially for kittens. It is so important to stay on schedule with your cat’s vaccinations.
The SPCA of Texas is proud to provide low-cost pet services to the public so that everyone can get their pets into the vet each year. Our wellness exams are $35, while the rabies vaccine is $10 and the FVRCP vaccine is $12. To make an appointment at one of our wellness clinics, give us a call at 214-742-7722 between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. any day of the week!
