If any dogs test positive for Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) at the shelter, we are immediately isolating them at our medical teams counsel and attempting to get them into a foster home. Since distemper positive dogs can shed the virus to other dogs for up to 3 months, they need to be isolated for that entire period or they pose a risk to other dogs at the shelter.

Although many dogs and cats clean themselves exceedingly well, most still need our help to keep looking, and feeling, their very best. In fact, regular grooming is an important part of your pet’s preventive health program. First, grooming helps keep skin, ears and teeth in top condition. And second, grooming sessions are a perfect opportunity to give your pet a home examination, so you can detect any health problems in its early stages. Also, the touching the massage that goes along with grooming relax your pet and strengthen the bond between you.
That being said, what happens when your pet refuses to get into the tub?
