Give Your Pet a Dry Bath

Although many dogs and cats clean themselves exceedingly well, most still need our help to keep looking, and feeling, their very best. There is a dry shampoo that you can make at home that will help with smell and some cleaning. Keep in mind that this does not do anything for skin problems, fleas or other problems. You may want to see a professional groomer or veterinarian for help. But, for general maintenance, use this.

Place one-cup bran, oatmeal or cornmeal on a cookie sheet. Put it in the oven on low for 5 minutes to warm the grain. Removing a little at a time, so that the rest stays warm, but not too hot, rub the grain into the fur with a towel. Concentrate on the greasy, dirty areas, Then brush these areas thoroughly to get the grain out. And most important, be patient and you will both enjoy the benefits.
