Our Group Experience Program is bringing the SPCA of Texas together with some truly incredible people who are eager to give back as a team!
This month, we had the pleasure of hosting The Gay & Lesbian Fund for Dallas, Kohl’s, PDI (Dallas office), Republic National Distributing Company (RDNC) and New Church. We love making new connections with other groups and companies in our community, and are so happy they want to come in to help out our animals any way they can!
One of the groups that came out to volunteer was the Board of Directors of the Gay & Lesbian Fund for Dallas (GLFD), which included SPCA of Texas Board Member Hiren Patel, who also serves as the Board President of GLFD.
The group assisted the Animal Cruelty Investigations unit by assembling approximately 30 crates at the Russell E. Dealey Animal Rescue Center (RED ARC) to have on-hand and ready to go for future rescues. Not only was it a great team building activity, but they helped make a difference in the lives of our rescue animals.
The RDNC team worked outside in the hot sun to help tear down some temporary runs that had been in one of our play yards so they could be transported to our rescue center. It was serious manual labor and we were so impressed by their dedication!
Experiences like these help build camaraderie among team members while giving back to the community. We’re so happy we’re able to offer this incredible program to bring people together and helping animals in the process.
