The SPCA of Texas was proud to participate again this year in the ASPCA’s Help a Horse Home Equine Adoption Challenge! From April 26 to June 30, our Equine and Livestock team found homes for a total of 39 horses and 2 donkeys. Last year during this same time period, we did 26 adoptions, so we’re pretty proud of that increase!
Even better, we’re now at a total of 118 equine adoptions for the year – we’re already getting so close to surpassing 2018’s total of 140 equine adoptions! We’re so thrilled that we’re able to help so many horses in transition, including the two fillies in the photo below! To support our efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses, please make a contribution at spca.org/donate.
And, if you’re interested in adopting a horse, please fill out an application at spca.org/livestock and our Equine and Livestock team will help you find the right horse!
