Queso is a young male dog who is currently in urgent need of a foster placement. The shelter environment has been very stressful for him, and that stress is starting to show through jumpy, mouthy behavior during handling and while getting leashed. This appears to be driven by frustration and kennel stress rather than his true personality, but it’s a clear sign that he needs a break from the shelter environment!
When he’s able to relax, Queso shows that he’s a sweet and joyful pup who just needs a little space to decompress. The constant noise, activity, and confinement of the shelter can be overwhelming, and a calmer environment would give him the chance to settle his mind and body.
Queso would greatly benefit from a foster home where he can take a break from the stress of the kennel and reset. With a quieter space, he has the potential to relax and show more of his happy, lovable personality. A foster home could make a huge difference in helping Queso feel safe and comfortable again. Please email foster@spca.org to learn more about Queso!
