This sweet girl came to us from the Texas Hill Country as part of our response to the devastating recent floods. She’s gentle, laid-back, and full of love—but the shelter environment is wearing her down.

Pauleen is starting to show signs of stress in her kennel. She’s becoming mouthy and making messes in her kennel, which isn’t like her at all—she’s just overwhelmed and needs a quiet space to decompress.

She’s the kind of dog who thrives in a calm, cozy home where she can nap, sniff around the yard, and feel safe again. Pauleen does well with other mellow dogs and would be so grateful for a soft place to land while she recovers from all the change and chaos.
