Cher is a 2-year-old female who is ready to leave the shelter behind and finally relax in a home. She came to us in February as a transfer program candidate, and while she was initially unsure around other dogs, she has made incredible progress. Now, she happily joins in rough-and-rowdy play and absolutely loves the pool—she’s a total water girl!
Shelter life, however, is starting to wear on her. Cher has become increasingly stressed and frustrated, and it’s showing through jumpy, mouthy, attention-seeking behaviors. This isn’t who she truly is—it’s a sign she needs a calm environment, structure, and time to decompress.
Cher is very treat-motivated, which will make training and redirection much easier in the right setting. With patience, enrichment, and a safe place to unwind, she has so much potential to thrive.
She doesn’t need perfection—she just needs a chance. If you can offer Cher a foster home, even temporarily, you could make all the difference in helping her reset and show her true personality.
Please consider opening your home to Cher—she needs you now.
