Meet Annie, a sweet 7-month-old spayed female who came to us through no fault of her own. Shelter life has been especially stressful for this young girl, and she’s letting us know she’s overwhelmed. Annie has been experiencing vomiting and diarrhea that are likely being worsened by the stress of the shelter, and she’s become very anxious during handling, often whining and struggling when it’s time to return to her kennel.
Despite her worries, Annie has shown positive social behaviors with other dogs, enjoying gentle, dainty play. While she can be a little shy with people at first, she clearly prefers human companionship and would thrive in a calm home where she can finally relax. With a little patience and a quiet environment, we know Annie will begin to decompress and let her true personality shine.
