2024: A Year of Milestones, Compassion, and Community Impact

As we bid farewell to 2024, the SPCA of Texas reflects on a year of transformative milestones you, our generous donors, made possible. Check out the video below highlighting this past year. Every life saved and every success story we celebrate this year was fueled by your compassion and support. Thank you! **Please note that all data below is from January 2, 2024 through November 30, 2024.

Life-Saving Efforts: Thanks to your contributions, our Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit conducted 758 investigations, rescuing 486 animals from abuse and neglect. Your support ensured these animals received the care they so desperately needed.

Caring for Rescued Animals: Your gifts cared for 7,241 animals that came through our doors, facilitated 6,337 adoptions and transports to other shelters across the country, and supported 1,352 fostered pets in 2024. You also made it possible for our team to perform 10,219 spay/neuter surgeries and conduct 10,031 wellness visits, improving the lives of pets and their families across North Texas.

Empowering Volunteers: Your generosity empowered 1,243 onboarded volunteers, joining our volunteer force that contributed an incredible 39,855 hours of service. From assisting with animal care to supporting community events, these dedicated individuals amplified the impact of your donations.

Community Impact: Your support of the Russell H. Perry Pet Resource Center distributed 179,456 pounds of pet food this year, keeping countless families and their beloved pets together during challenging times.

Celebrating Partnerships and Events: Your contributions drove the success of record-breaking events like Strut Your Mutt, Fur Ball, and Home for the Holidays, uniting the community in our mission to save lives.
