Huey is a cantankerous old fella, but don’t let his occasional gruff moods fool you: he’s as sweet as they come. He just likes things the way he likes them, and that’s that! He’ll get grumpy occasionally, but more often he’ll get bursts of playful energy that bring him back to his puppy days. Because he’s not big on accommodating others, he’s looking for a home where he can be the only dog and with no kids. He wants everything to revolve around him and his needs (honestly, we don’t blame him)! Despite his desire to do his own thing as a dog, he is always happy to join you for whatever activity you want to include him in, whether that’s relaxing on the couch and watching television or heading out for a stroll in the park!

This spirited senior Australian Cattle Dog mix is hoping to find a home with someone who will be gentle, kind, and understanding of his medical ailments. Some days, his arthritis may slow him down, but in general he will be a happy, loving old man who will enjoy lounging by your side. Huey knows sit, come, fetch, and he is leash trained. He will even wiggle his little nub of a tail if you ask him to wiggle!
