A Closer Look at: Chunk

This week we want to give you a closer look at Chunk, courtesy of our friends at ReadingGlasses.com! Clearly, this long-term resident hasn’t found their forever home yet because the right person just hasn’t laid eyes on them yet!

Chunk is a lovable and loyal guy looking for some humans to be best buddies with. Chunk is pretty spoiled by the staff at the shelter and can usually be found hanging out in someone’s office, greeting visitors as they walk past!

Chunk got to stay in a foster home recently, and according to his foster, it doesn’t take him long to make himself at home. He’s respectful of furniture, fantastic during car rides, completely house trained and can amuse himself with his toys while you work. Chunk likes to be around humans as much as possible, but doesn’t require much attention other than the occasional head pat – he just prefers to have you around!

Chunk will obey the commands “Come,” “Sit,” and “Shake” – as long as you have a tasty treat to pay him with afterwards! He absolutely adores tennis balls. Whether he’s chasing them or chewing them, he loves to have a good number of tennis balls to choose from.

This handsome pup is hoping to find a home with a fenced-in backyard where he can feel safe and comfortable while he’s playing to his heart’s delight. He’d prefer to be your only baby, two-legged or four-legged, because he’s pretty confident he deserves 100% of your attention.

Chunk is available for a trial adoption! That means you get to take him home for a few weeks while you both figure out if it’s the right fit. We’ll provide you with all the supplies and support you need during this time, and if it doesn’t work out, that’s totally ok! Chunk is more than happy to get a nice break from the shelter, and won’t take it personally if you can’t keep him forever. All we ask is that you give us as much information about him as possible so we can continue looking for his perfect home.
