Join the SPCA of Texas on August 21st-23rd, during Clear the Shelters and find your new best friend! Adoptions are FREE for animals at our SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center and will open at 12PM. Returning to help Clear the Shelters are Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Greater Good Charities, WeRescue and The Black Dog.

From July 15 through September 15, you can make a donation to the Clear The Shelters Fund to support participating shelters. Beginning August 1, you can make a donation specifically to the SPCA of Texas. Greater Good Charities, NBCUniversal Local, a division of NBCUniversal, and Hill’s Pet Nutrition want to thank you for participating in this year’s Clear The Shelters Fund!

Clear The Shelters, NBCUniversal Local’s nationwide pet adoption and donation initiative – which has helped more than one million pets find new homes and raised millions of dollars for participating animal shelters and rescues since its 2015 inception – is returning for the 11th consecutive year this Aug. 1 to Aug. 31. NBC and Telemundo stations across the nation are partnering with animal shelters and rescues in their communities to promote pet adoption and raise critical funds for participating shelters and rescues.
