Compassion in Action – Volunteer of the Month – August 2022

Charlotte Vaughan is August’s Volunteer of the Month! Charlotte is a new, but very devoted volunteer at the Ellis County Animal Care Center and we’re sincerely thankful for her dedication and her gifts of her time.

Charlotte shared that she originally started volunteering with encouragement from our offsite initiatives coordinator, Jennifer Lynn. Charlotte had previously worked with Jennifer at another rescue organization. Since volunteering at the SPCA of Texas she let us know that she has found us to be very clean and organized. That you can volunteer as much or little as you want, but all amount of time given to the organization is appreciated.

Our Ellis County Animal Care Center manager, David let us know that “Charlotte is AMAZING!!!! From coming in to help with morning cleaning when we are short staffed, helping us with laundry, walks, as well as helping with mobile events. The staff appreciate her help so much!”
