FOSTER REASON: I arrived with a skin wound that just didn't want to heal, so the doctors explored further and found a bullet fragment in my shoulder joint. It was removed and they are now caring for me to heal completely. I just need some tender love and care so I can get back to my search for a forever home. Can I hang out with you for a while? The nice doctor said I would heal a lot faster in a home than in the shelter. Don't worry, all the supplies and medications are covered by the SPCA while I am in foster! Theodore enjoyed our nature walk at 12 hills and did excellent on the leash! I was very impressed. He really opened up back at my apartment though, he is house trained and even asked permission before getting on the sofa. He was a major couch potato and loved laying his head on my lap while getting head and ear scratches. This guy adapted so fast, I'm confident he would thrive in any good home! We got a pup cup and he LOVED it! Riding back after we bonded he curled up in the front seat, again showing quick signs of growth right away. He has plenty of energy while outside walking but inside just wants to be your shadow.

FOSTER REASON: I'm being treated for ringworm-a curable fungal infection that just needs some topical and oral medication. I'll heal much faster in a foster home than in the shelter! Ringworm can be contagious to humans and pets through close contact, so a bathroom or another easy-to-clean space is perfect for keeping me separated while I recover. The shelter will provide everything-medication, cleaning supplies, extra bedding, and plenty of guidance. All I need is a little patience, some foster love, and someone willing to help me heal!

The Highlight of our Day Out. Ivory loved walking on a local trail with myself and another dog. We the went to Eatzi's in Preston Hollow where she was pretty mellow. She observed the people and other things happening around us. It's easy to get her attention when you gently call her name or make ticking noise with your mouth. She now's how to sit for a treat, and before her meals. She played well with other dogs and is a gentle soul. She does whine a little when she is uncomfortable, but once you show her where to lye down, etc. She settles down. I feel she'd make for a great doggy for a family or person who is looking for a dog that is mostly low key, gentle, and loves to go on walks. Ivory is a complete gem.
