(DALLAS, TX); March 27, 2020: After careful consideration, the SPCA of Texas has made the difficult decision to postpone Strut Your Mutt, the Race to End Animal Cruelty, previously slated for May 9th, to a later date this fall. Having spent the past months preparing, the organization is sincerely saddened to make this decision. However, and in light of the ongoing novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, this is the best decision to make at this time. The safety and wellbeing of the human and animal participants, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, and staff of Strut Your Mutt is the top priority to the SPCA of Texas. Rescheduling the 2,000+ attendee event will enable the organization to provide everyone who makes Strut Your Mutt the fun and impactful event it is the best experience that they expect and deserve in a safe environment.

The SPCA of Texas sincerely thanks all of the Strut Your Mutt family for their support. The organization is working to finalize the details on the new date and more, and will share updates about plans via e­mail and phone to registered participants, team captains, and sponsors, as well as on their Facebook event page and on gostrut.org as soon as possible. All sponsorships and registrations will automatically be applied to the rescheduled event.
