(DALLAS, TX); February 6, 2020– If you’re looking for love this Valentine’s Day, the SPCA of Texas can help you find your “paw”fect match. On Saturday, February 8th, join the SPCA of Texas and 102.9 NOW at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas for our 2nd Annual PALentine’s Day! Carter and Tara will be sharing the love with all of the four-legged friends at the SPCA of Texas from Noon to 6 p.m. People will have a chance to meet dozens of adoptable pets, including foster dogs who aren’t normally in the shelter. They will be the perfect date and you simply won’t be able to keep your paws off them!
PALentine’s Day is a great opportunity to meet foster dogs who already have experience living in a home! Many of these dogs get stressed in a shelter setting and live with foster parents until they are adopted, so, at this event, the SPCA of Texas is creating a special, calming environment for these dogs and potential adopters to get to know one another. Additionally, people will have a chance to talk to the dogs’ foster parents one-on-one and learn more about each animal’s personality inside a home. Foster parents know all facets of their fosters’ personalities and preferences, and they are ready to play matchmaker just ahead of Valentine’s Day! Foster animals will be onsite from Noon until 4 p.m., and our adoptions lobby is open until 7 p.m.
Regular adoption fees are $150 for puppies and kittens aged 0-6 months and $75 for adult dogs and cats aged 6 months or older. Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older and a FIV/FeLV test for cats six months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, a microchip, 30 days of PetHealth Insurance provided by Pethealth, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a rabies tag and a free leash.
Be sure to stop by the Revamped Security – Authorized ADT Dealer table to find out how they can cover your adoption fee and give back to the SPCA of Texas! Also, get the chance to win a pair of tickets to see Dan + Shay on March 21, 2020 at the American Airlines Center by participating in 102.9 NOW’s passport program.
