Judith Dumont, Vice President of People & Culture for the SPCA of Texas, joined the organization in October 2021. Overseeing the human resources and volunteer function of our collective team, Judith uses strategic thinking to guide and direct the people, policies, and procedures of our organization to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and high levels of employee and volunteer engagement. Investing in the positive culture of the SPCA of Texas directly impacts the quality of care we provide for our animals and bringing our mission of creating a brighter future of pets, people, and the community is Judith’s key focus. Prior to her work with the SPCA of Texas, Judith has been a thought leader who has worked on the front lines of social service for non-profit and higher education platforms that generate access and equity for at-risk populations. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master’s in counseling from the University of North Texas. She was recognized as the Change Champion of the Year in 2024 by the SHRM Dallas Chapter, and she also has completed Leadership Garland, is a Microsoft Innovative Educator, and holds her SHRM-CP from the Society of Human Resource Management. She resides in east Dallas with her family, which includes her son, Ryder, and her two four-legged rescue dogs, Tux and Piggy, both adopted from the SPCA of Texas.
