Francine is a 3-year-old spayed female who came to us as a stray back in June, and she desperately needs out of the shelter as soon as possible.
Francine can be shy when first meeting people, but once she warms up, she is very social and enjoys connecting with those around her. In the yard, she explored her surroundings, tolerated greetings, and interacted appropriately with other dogs. She has given appropriate corrections when needed without escalating.
Since her brother was adopted, we have noticed Francine struggling more with the stress of shelter life. She has been rubbing the hair off her face and has started finger painting in her run overnight. It is clear that she is having a difficult time, and she needs a foster home where she can decompress and feel safe.
Francine needs someone who can give her love, patience, structure, and time to come out of her shell. We know there is a sweet and social girl underneath that initial shyness, and she deserves the opportunity to show it.
Francine needs a foster home ASAP. If you are able to give her the time and safe space she needs, please reach out to the foster team.
