For lost, found or stray pets outside of unincorporated Dallas County or in Ellis County, please contact the agency within the municipality that you found or lost the pet. The SPCA of Texas only takes in stray animals from unincorporated Dallas County and Ellis County. Pets lost or found within the City of Dallas will be held at Dallas Animal Services.
The SPCA of Texas does not have the resources to investigate cruelty complaints outside of our current service area, which consists of Hunt and Van Zandt counties. If the county you’re referring to is outside our service area, you can help by contacting your local law enforcement. Texas law protects animals from cruelty and abuse. Your local law enforcement officials will be able to assist the animal(s) you’re concerned about. Learn more about the counties we serve.
