It’s World Spay Day, one of our favorite days of the year! We love to spread awareness about the benefits of spay/neuter surgery for animals in our community. Getting your pet fixed can reduce their desire to roam, alleviate some behavioral concerns and reduce their risk of certain cancers! Of course, the main benefit is that your pet won’t make any unwanted litters that contribute to the problem of overflowing shelters in north Texas.
Did you know that residents in certain zip codes in north Texas have access to FREE spay or neuter surgery for their pets? Animal welfare organizations are working hard to reduce the stray and shelter pet populations in order to make our communities safer for people and pets alike. If you or someone you know lives in one of these zip codes, we hope you’ll pass the information along and take advantage of these amazing services!
Is your pet already fixed? Then we hope you share this information with your neighbors and loved ones! If you love this program and want to support your community pets, we welcome donations to help continue funding these vital services.
