#TransformationTuesday – Dottie!
Back in December 2017, we met an elf-eared pup named Dottie when she was transferred to us from another shelter. This cute mixed breed dog was quickly adopted but returned a few months later because she was too fearful to adapt to life in a home.
When she came back to us, Dottie was extremely shut down in the shelter, afraid of the world. Staff was concerned for her, until a foster family stepped up to take her in. These experienced fosters knew that Dottie needed space, patience and a whole lot of love from their wiggly pack of mutts.
It certainly took a while, but Dottie has blossomed into a quirky, affectionate little girl who loves laying on her doggy pals almost as much as getting belly rubs! She’s gradually become more and more affectionate towards her foster parents and loves zooming around the yard showing off how goofy she is.
Dottie is looking for a patient, loving adopter and a canine sibling or two to share her life with. Is that you? Email foster@spca.org for more information on adopting Dottie!
