Sammy is starting to show signs of increased kennel stress and possible separation anxiety, and he would really benefit from a foster home as soon as possible! When he first arrived, Sammy was fearful—trembling with his tail tucked and ears back—but even then, he allowed medical handling, showing how gentle and trusting he truly wants to be. Though he was very stressed at intake, once outside his body language began to soften. With a little patience and reassurance, Sammy wagged his tail during leash walks and responded beautifully to gentle encouragement. In playgroups, he’s blossomed—offering play bows, running happily with other dogs, and showing that playful, sweet side just waiting to come out more in a calm environment. Sammy may have some separation anxiety, so a foster home where he can feel safe and supported would make a world of difference. This sensitive, loving boy is ready to leave the stress of the kennel behind and finally relax with someone who can help his confidence continue to grow.
