Mutt Monday: Willie

Meet Willie! This 3-and-a-half-year-old Mountain Cur mix is a playful pup who loves fresh air and taking in all the smells of nature! Squirrels are his passion – watching them, chasing them, sniffing their tracks – he just can’t get enough of squirrels. He even has a stuffed squirrel that he loves to play with! 

Willie was transferred to the SPCA of Texas from Louisiana ahead of Hurricane Delta in October 2020 with several other animals. While we don’t know much about Willie’s past, we think he’d enjoy a home with an owner who will teach him how to put his sniffing skills to work! He’s got a talent for tracking and we think he’d love to learn how to find your keys or even the remote. 

Willie is a very playful dog and would love to meet other dogs in the home, as well as kids 12 and up, before making it official. Due to his drive to chase little critters, he will need a home without any cats or small animals and a fenced-in yard.
