SPCA of Texas Invites You to “Borrow A Buddy Adventure Weekend” June 16-17, 2023

The SPCA of Texas invites individuals aged 18 and older to embark on an unforgettable Borrow A Buddy adventure with a fabulous pet from the Dallas Animal Care Center (2400 Lonestar Drive, 75212) Friday and Saturday, June 16 – 17, 2023. This June is National Foster a Pet Month, and this extraordinary weekend promotes fostering by including a scavenger hunt for you and your buddy, a swag bag filled with a scavenger hunt map, food, poop bags, t-shirt, at-home activities, and more!

Borrow-A-Buddy pickup will be at the Dallas Animal Care Center Friday, June 16th from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for those who want to have a sleepover with their pup. Pickup will be Saturday, June 17th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. for individuals who want to head straight out to our scavenger hunt locations! Pet return will be Saturday, June17th from 3-5 p.m. at the Dallas Animal Care Center. There also is an option to keep your Borrow-A-Buddy longer if you like!

Fostering helps these pets acclimate to a domestic life, learn vital skills, and showcase their true personalities, making them more appealing to potential adopters. Together, we can make a tremendous impact on the lives of these deserving animals, one foster at a time.”

Saturday’s scavenger hunt features three dog-friendly locations where humans and their buddies will search for Golden Paws to win incredible prizes and enjoy food and/or drink specials created specifically for this Borrow-A-Buddy event. Prizes will be awarded at Borrow-A-Buddy drop off Saturday afternoon. Featured locations are:

• Community Beer Co., 3110 Commonwealth Dr. Dallas, 75247: 1 free beer for all Borrow-A-Buddy humans!
• Backyard Dallas, 505 N. Good Latimer Expy, Dallas, 75204: $5 Pupparitas PLUS take a photo with your Buddy at the special photo booth and share on social media!
• Petco North Plano, 8700 Preston Rd., Ste 105, Plano, 75024: Introduce your Buddy to prospective adopters at this Mobile Adoption event!
