(DALLAS; WAXAHACHIE, TX); November 5, 2022 – Each year, more than five million pets enter animal shelters in need of loving homes. The SPCA of Texas is proud to partner with PetSmart Charities® to bring adoptable pets to North Texas PetSmart stores in support of National Adoption Week, taking place November 7 – 13.
During the in-store event, the SPCA of Texas invites potential pet parents to meet adoptable pets in their area. Opportunities will be given to spend time with animals in need of loving homes in a spacious area. Staff and volunteers will help potential adopters learn about caring for a pet and the types of tools, products and services they may need.
“Partnering with PetSmart Charities for PetSmart National Adoption Week allows us to find even more animals loving homes,” said Kelli Eaves, Senior Director of Lifesaving Initiatives for the SPCA of Texas. “We are proud to have found hundreds of animals new families during our participation in PetSmart National Adoption Week events over the years, and we look forward to making this event a huge success.”
