Hot Dog? Make a Pupsicle!

Summer is winding down, but it’s still pretty darn hot outside! Your pooch will appreciate this simple, no-fuss recipe for a pupsicle that is both tasty and healthy! All you need is a few simple ingredients to make a treat that will please your pup in any season!

Blend together a banana, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and 2 cups of plain, nonfat yogurt (Greek or regular). Pour into an ice cube tray and wait for the treats to freeze!

Mix things up by adding a few tablespoons of honey or plain, canned pumpkin to the blend. For added fun, you can drop a blueberry or small piece of apple before freezing.

If your dog is a big fan of fruit, you can even just freeze chunks of watermelon for them to snack on! This is a healthy, inexpensive way to treat your dog to something special when the weather is hot.
