Moose is a calm, loving dog with a heart as big as his name—but the shelter is taking a toll on him. He’s becoming increasingly stressed in his kennel, retreating from handling and barking hard at staff. This isn’t the real Moose—it’s a reaction to fear and overwhelm.
In a home, Moose is a totally different dog. He’s gentle, affectionate, and just wants ear scratches, a comfy bed, and someone to lean on. He loves walks, chew toys, and the simple joys of being with someone who cares. He gets along well with people and other dogs—he just needs the right environment to shine again.
A foster home would give Moose a chance to decompress, feel safe, and remember what it’s like to be loved. Right now, he’s shutting down—and we know he deserves better.
If you can foster Moose, even short term, please email FOSTER@SPCA.ORG. He just needs a soft place to land. 🐾
