Draco is a 3-year-old black Lab with a big heart and even bigger potential. He came to the shelter as a stray in December 2025 and has sadly been returned twice—but none of that defines who he truly is. At his core, Draco is a sweet, affectionate boy who is simply looking for a real connection with someone to call his own.
He’s young, energetic, and eager to learn. Draco already knows commands like sit, down, and come, and he’s proven to be both crate trained and potty trained in a home environment. He does well with children under 5, enjoys car rides, and loves having a good chew toy to keep him busy.
Shelter life, however, has been tough on him. The stressful environment has caused Draco to become jumpy and mouthy in his kennel, especially when it’s time to leash up. On walks, he tends to pull, and during playgroup, his excitement can make it hard for him to settle. These behaviors are not who he truly is—they’re signs of a dog who is overstimulated and craving structure, consistency, and attention. In a stable home, with guidance and routine, Draco has every chance to thrive and settle into the amazing companion he’s meant to be.
Draco doesn’t need perfection—he just needs a chance. A patient, committed adopter will see just how loving, smart, and loyal this boy can be. He’s ready for a fresh start and a break from the shelter… and he’s more than worth it.
