Meet Bonita
Bonita is a stunning deaf girl with striking blue eyes and the sweetest soul. She absolutely adores people and lights up when she’s around her human friends. Being close to her people is her favorite thing — she just wants to connect, love, and make you proud.
Deafness doesn’t slow Bonita down one bit! Deaf dogs are incredibly attentive, bond deeply through hand signals and visual cues, and often aren’t fazed by loud noises like storms or fireworks. Bonita is smart, loving, and so ready to build that special connection with someone of her own.
Right now, the shelter environment is tough for her. She’s starting to use her mouth to communicate her frustration, which tells us she simply needs more guidance, structure, and a calm space to thrive. With patience and love, Bonita will absolutely blossom.
