Bolt is a friendly, fun-loving boy who’s ready to bring energy and joy into your life! His previous owner described him as a sweet dog who loves to play — especially tug-of-war, chasing balls, and squeaky toys. He already knows “sit” and is eager to keep learning, especially if toys are involved!
While in the shelter, Bolt has spent time around other dogs and has engaged in appropriate play. He enjoys playful interactions and has shown he can take corrections from other dogs well. He also did well during a meet-and-greet, showing his social and affectionate side.
Recently, though, the stress of the shelter environment has started to weigh on him. Bolt has begun showing signs of stress, including becoming mouthy and jumpy — behaviors that tell us he’s overwhelmed and needs a calmer space. The shelter is a high-stress environment, and it’s clear that Bolt would thrive outside of it.
Bolt doesn’t need perfection — he just needs a chance. A foster or adopter who can provide a stable, loving environment would truly change his life. With some structure, patience, and playtime, Bolt has so much potential to shine.
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion and can offer him a safe place to decompress, Bolt is waiting for you. Giving him a chance could be the best decision you ever make — and the fresh start he desperately needs!
