At the SPCA of Texas, some animals wait a little longer than others to find their forever homes, but that doesn’t mean they’re any less deserving of love. In fact, some of our long-stay pets have the most inspiring stories, the gentlest hearts, and the most loyal companionship to offer. This month, we’re shining a spotlight on three incredible dogs—Alba, Bronson, and Maizie—each with their own unique charm, who are ready to find the homes they’ve been dreaming of.
ALBA: Alba is a mellow older gal who has mastered the art of relaxation. She enjoys peace, quiet, and the occasional well-timed snack that will instantly win her heart. Alba is currently awaiting a dental procedure, getting her hypothyroidism stabilized, and healing from surgery, so she’s looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can rest and recover. She doesn’t need much—just a little space and a lot of love. If you’re looking for a calm, gentle companion to share your home with, Alba could be the perfect fit.
BRONSON: Bronson, a lovable goofball who knows how to turn any day around with his silly toy antics and laid-back charm. This older gentleman has a heart of gold and is happiest when napping or soaking up attention from his people. He even thrived during a visit to a nursing home, bringing joy to everyone he met. Whether you live in an apartment or a house, Bronson just needs a cozy bed and a caring heart. Currently in a foster home, he’s ready to meet his forever family through an adoption application.
MAIZIE: Maizie, a 6-year-old Doberman mix, is the picture of gentle resilience. With her soulful eyes and calm presence, she’s looking for a quiet home to heal while awaiting medical results. Despite her challenges, Maizie radiates affection and would love nothing more than to curl up beside someone who appreciates life’s slower moments. Available for foster or foster-to-adopt, she’s the kind of companion who reminds us that love and patience are the best medicine.
These three sweethearts—Alba, Bronson, and Maizie—have been waiting far too long for their chance. Could you be the one to change their lives forever?
By opening your home to a foster or adoption, you’re not only giving a dog a brighter future, but also making space for the SPCA of Texas to help even more animals in need. Visit SPCA.org today to learn more about these amazing dogs and how you can become part of their happy ending.
