Each week we put the spotlight on a pet that has been at the SPCA of Texas for quite some time. This week, we want you to meet Daylight!
Can you say adorable? Daylight is just about the cutest little Pomeranian mix we’ve ever seen. Daylight came to us from a cruelty case back in August of 2019. Due to his past, Daylight is fearful when meeting new humans. Whoever adopts him will need to give him a few weeks to come out of his shell and trust them. But once you’ve earned that trust, you’ll be the light of his life!
“My absolute favorite thing about Daylight is his extreme splooting ability. Anytime he’s excited, asking for attention, wanting to play, or even just relaxing, he collapses onto his stomach with all 4 legs splayed out and it’s just the cutest. He’ll even try to crawl like that for as long as possible, just scooting his sploot across the floor!” -Daylight’s foster hero
2-year-old Daylight does a happy dance every time he sees one of his favorite humans. With time, that favorite human could be you!
This smart little pup is both leash and crate trained, and knows several commands including sit, come, down and fetch! He loves the company of other little dogs and even gets along well with his kitty foster siblings! Ideally, Daylight would love to go to a home with a fenced in yard, or a low-traffic apartment where going outside won’t be too scary.
If you’re interested in adopting Daylight, email foster@spca.org for a meet and greet today!
