If any dogs test positive for Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) at the shelter, we are immediately isolating them at our medical teams counsel and attempting to get them into a foster home. Since distemper positive dogs can shed the virus to other dogs for up to 3 months, they need to be isolated for that entire period or they pose a risk to other dogs at the shelter.

This week we want to give you a closer look at Enna, courtesy of our friends over at ReadingGlasses.com! Clearly, this long-term resident hasn’t found their forever home yet because the right person just hasn’t laid eyes on them yet!
Enna is a sweet pup who was rescued from a hoarding case back in February. She would love a calm and quiet, adults-only home with a securely fenced in backyard. She’s a little bit of an awkward turtle – she is really curious about humans, but after years of not having any socialization she isn’t quite sure how to “dog.”
