We’re starting the year with our exciting Young Professionals (YP) Kick-Off Event on Sunday, January 26th from 1PM-4PM (1–2 PM Mandatory for All YP Members | 2–4 PM Optional Training) at the SPCA of Texas’ Dallas Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive, Dallas, TX 75212. Whether you’re a seasoned animal advocate or new to the group, this event is the time to connect with fellow YP members as well as learn more about the SPCA of Texas and the YP plans for the year, hear from inspiring leaders, and prepare for our impactful Borrow-A-Buddy (BAB) outings with shelter dogs. Light bites and drinks will be served!

What to Expect:

• Get Involved: Meet the Young Professionals leadership team and discover how you can help shape our mission and activities.
• Be Inspired: Hear from SPCA of Texas executive leadership about the incredible work happening at the SPCA of Texas and how you can make a difference.
• Hands-On Training (2–4 PM Optional): Participate in a volunteer orientation and hands-on dog handling training to prepare for future BAB events. (Training is required for anyone wishing to bring dogs to YP events.)

Please note: The first hour (1–2 PM) is mandatory for all Young Professionals members, as it includes important introductions, leadership updates, and program details. The remaining two hours (2–4 PM) are optional but highly encouraged and include hands-on training, refreshments, and time to connect with other YPs.
